POP Email is the simplest to set up and can easily be linked to your current email client such as Microsoft Outlook. Online email via Pop is generally not easily synced however for most small businesses POP is perfect for day to day use in conjunction with an email client like Outlook that keeps all your emails on your local c: hard drive

IMAP email is a little more difficult to set up but has the added advantage of being able to sync your email client such as Outlook to an online email interface or web client. This is ideally suited to customers that travel extensively without a laptop and often access other computers such as public internet cafes

Domain Names

At Businessemail.net we make porting your current domain name simple and secure. Just choose your email hosting package and fill in your domain address in the designated box. Once your hosting plan is chosen our domain manager will be in touch via email to advise the next steps for transferring your domain for use on any of our business email plans.

If you don't own a domain name/web address all of our email plans include a free domain name. Simply search and select your preferred and available domain.

Choosing your Domain Name

If your in Business then a .com or .net is the most suitable. For not for profit we suggest a .org and for information sites a .info extension makes the most sense.

Tips

Choose a name that's memorable and excludes any 'fluff' words. If your called Jasons Electrical & Consulting Limited , then the first choice could be JasonsElectrical.com as that is the name most would recall and is within around 20 characters where possible excluding the extension
Don't abbreviate too much: In the above example dont go for JasonsElect.com as its best not to sacrifice branding and recall in order to shorten too much. Many domain names these days have to be much longer due to a shortage of availability.
Generic Domains – If your in the business of roof restoration services for example, getting the domain RoofRestorationServices.com would certainly make your listing in Search Engines stand out as they tend to highlight the keywords people search on. It can also help your search engine ranking. The shorter generic keyword rich domains are however difficult to attain as most have been allocated.
All in all if you want to have a long term brand its is best to choose a domains that includes your business name or brand and perhaps one of the main keywords people would search on. JasonsElectrical.com is a good example.

Exchange Hosting

Microsoft corporate exchange hosting is not supplied by Businessemail.net.
You are however welcome to pay the cost of a license for exchange
and have that set up on your hosted email plan with us.
